I currently work for TD Ameritrade (recently purchased by Charles Schwab) where I create financial education content. On top of that, since arriving, i’ve carved out an audience development role within my role where i’ve helped grow our YouTube subscribers from 30k to now more than 160k.
An animated True-Crime show! Solely written, produced and edited, The Vault airs on all of Cheddar’s entities.
I have reported on thousands of stories in my career for clients like Huffington Post, AOL, Roku, Hearst, Tribune, MSN, USA Today and many others. I pride myself on story development and delivery in a conversational manner.
My live work includes interviews, teleprompter reads, discussions and reporting from the field for Cheddar’s Business and News networks.
Throughout my career I have had the pleasure of interviewing so many wonderful, intelligent and funny people. For me, the most important skills for this are listening carefully, putting the subject at ease and asking interesting questions.
Improvisation is very important to me! It has been my focus of study at The PIT, UCB and Annoyance Theaters. That training helped develop a strong sense of timing which is instrumental in On The Street segments. One of my videos even went viral! That particular story was about whether people believed “anti cat-calling” street signs would curb bad behavior. This led to a very interesting interaction with a man who felt strongly about cat-calling…the clip was later picked up all over the internet and eventually ran as a web redemption on Tosh.0.
A show that takes audiences behind the scenes of an experience, a new food or event. Aires on Cheddar News, Business and all online platforms.
An animated series created with animator John Holowitz. The episodes are self-contained, short, bizarre and funny. They deal with things like monsters under the bed, dinosaur family dynamics and fairy tales. The series (5 episodes) was nominated for Best Animated Film by the Portland Comedy Film Festival.
Invaluable lessons are learned through studying improv. Lessons like the ability to think on my feet, multi-task, work with a team, explore new ideas and listen. These lessons advanced my career and gave me the opportunity to perform all over New York City including The People’s Improv Theater (The PIT), UCB and Annoyance Theaters.
While studying I created and produced several shows, including ‘The People’s Improv Court’. A show that takes real-life issues from an audience member and then debates it in our improvised court room.
For years I have been a sketch comedy writer and performer both live on-stage in New York and online. My house team of four years at The People’s Improv Theater is called National Scandal!
This one-person show was solely written and performed. It debuted at Solocom, a festival of new and original one-person shows. It has since been performed many times at several venues.
